Chat Channels
Connect OpenClaw to your favorite platforms including WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and Slack.
Channels connect OpenClaw to messaging and collaboration platforms.
Start with one channel (Telegram is easiest), then add more as needed.
Supported channels
- WhatsApp — High reach; requires QR login and stores more state on disk.
- Telegram — Fastest setup: create a bot and paste the token.
- Discord — Community chat with DMs and guild channels.
- Slack — Team chat integration for workspaces and channels.
- Google Chat — Google Chat bot/webhook integration.
- Mattermost — Self-hosted team chat with webhook support.
- Signal — Private messaging with pairing and local state.
- BlueBubbles — Requires a macOS host to bridge iMessage to other platforms.
- iMessage — Native iMessage via macOS (local Mac gateway).
- Microsoft Teams — Microsoft Teams integration.
- LINE — LINE messaging integration.
- Nextcloud Talk — Nextcloud Talk self-hosted chat (plugin; separate install).
- Matrix — Matrix protocol (plugin; separate install).
- Nostr — Nostr DMs via NIP-04 (plugin; separate install).
- Tlon — Tlon/Urbit messenger (plugin; separate install).
- Twitch — Twitch chat via IRC bridge (plugin; separate install).
- Zalo — Zalo Bot API (plugin; separate install).
- Zalo User — Zalo personal account QR login (plugin; separate install).
- WebChat — Built-in WebChat UI: see WebChat.
Notes
- Multiple channels can be active; OpenClaw replies deterministically to where the message came from.
- Fastest start is usually Telegram (just a bot token). WhatsApp requires scanning and stores more state on disk.
